Middle School Therapeutic Program

Located in Hopkinton Middle School, TEC’s Middle School Therapeutic Program provides a small, supportive, and personalized learning environment. Academic, therapeutic, behavioral, and structural supports provide students in grades 5-8 with a safe, engaging, predictable classroom environment. TEC’s skilled staff includes a special education teacher, full time on-site adjustment counselor, and team of specialists who provide integrated supports. These supports engage and challenge each child academically while developing a range of coping skills and strategies needed to become successful, independent learners.

Resource rich classrooms are equipped with a range of instructional and assistive technologies. Students participate in an individualized behavioral support plan to address their personal, emotional, and behavioral needs. Students are involved with typical peers through a variety of inclusion and reverse inclusion options and age-appropriate recreational opportunities.
